At NOVEC, we recognize the many hardships our customers are facing this year because of the coronavirus pandemic, _COVID-19. Despite challenges that may lay ahead, our employees remain committed to providing reliable power to our customers — with the same dedication and timeliness our customers expect. If outages occur, our crews will respond as quickly and safely as possible.
NOVEC has suspended electric service disconnections for nonpayment and associated penalty fees in accordance with guidance from the Virginia governor’s office and the State Corporation Commission. Please note that this suspension delays, but does not cancel, payment of outstanding balances. If possible, consider paying a portion of the electric bill.
In addition, NOVEC is following the Centers for Disease Control prevention and containment recommendations for COVID-19. We’re providing employees with additional sanitizing supplies and strengthening commercial cleaning procedures at all of our locations.
Our employees are maintaining 6 feet of social distancing when interacting with customers and other co-workers. We kindly ask that you avoid approaching NOVEC employees in the field. We also encourage customers to use NOVEC’s online services at novec.com and our automated telephone payment services. Access it around the clock by calling 703-335-0500 or toll-free at 888-335-0500. Using these payment options will help keep both customers and employees safe. Customer care representatives are available Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Even though COVID-19 poses an unprecedented challenge, you can count on us to deliver reliable power. For the latest news and updates from NOVEC, please visit novec.com.
